BIOGRAFY

OLGA GROPPO (1995) came to Belgium at a very young age to study classical violin, first at the KASK in Ghent and then at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, where she has just completed her master’s degree (2023). Her career as a violinist has developed over the years, leading her to perform in various classical ensembles and orchestras, as well as theater and dance companies (UltimaVez, TransfoCollect) that mix traditional and contemporary styles allowing her an exciting freedom in her creative future.

MY APPROACH

Where does the violin fit and where is it unusual to be seen and heard? Society is made of many aspects but all of them understand one universal language, the one of feelings, the one of love, the one we use in music. The combination with music and therefore love is essential in all realities and no barrier of knowledge should be able to stop it.

CIRCUS PROJECT

This show is made by the combination of classical music and acrobatic bicycle, with the ambition to create poetic scenes about ambiguity of trust and independence in human relationships, invisible prisons that seem comfortable to deep in, ties that make us subdued or alliances that make us invincible. Power in this society is led by violence, restraining freedom of ideals and locking up people in financial and mental cages.

Making art to reunite: our cultural differences could make us stronger, opening egress routes, empathy brackets, flying with the dream of solving the barriers of the world.
